PEEK (PolyEtherEtherKetone)

PEEK has combinations particularly suited for applications in sensitive environments where fire safety is paramount (self-extinguishing reaction of the material). PEEK resists to hydrolysis and cracking. It also resists to chemicals including synthetic hydraulic fluids, kerosene.

Applications

Thanks to its robustness, PEEK is used for the manufacture of elements that can be used under extreme conditions. Piston rings, bearings, pumps, compressor dampers and insulation ducts. It is also one of the few plastics compatible with extreme vacuum, and can be used for the manufacture of medical implants. Increasingly, PEEK is finding applications in the chemical, automotive and aerospace industries.
